IT Support

CHASS Computing provides IT support to the entire College of Humanities and Social Sciences, which encompasses serving seven buildings and portions of Thompson Theatre. This support includes installing computers for use on our network, providing customized programming and support, installing and upgrading hardware and software, and troubleshooting and fixing problems with networked computers and printers.

If you are a faculty or staff member of CHASS and are in need of assistance with computer related problems, please contact your departmental-appointed IT liaison and have them contact us, or in an emergency just contact us yourself!

Computer Labs and Classrooms

CHASS IT provides and supports several computer labs and classrooms. Currently we provide labs and/or classrooms in the following buildings:

1911 - Classroom
Laundry - Lab and Classroom
Tompkins - Lab and Classrooms
Winston - Lab and Classroom
Withers - Lab

In addition, many of the remaining classrooms have a variety of instructional technologies installed for use by the instructor. This typically includes a computer and laptop hookups, DVD player and VCR, and document camera.
